Explore the Wild Beauty

of the Lower Mobile-Tensaw Delta!

Join us Saturday, March 21st for a Group Birding & Nature Tour through one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the nation — the incredible Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Spring migration is underway, making this an exciting time to spot a wide variety of birds and wildlife!

During this guided adventure, you'll search for shorebirds, wading birds, raptors, and migrating species that pass through the Delta this time of year. Along the way, keep an eye out for wildlife such as river otters, raccoons, nutria, manatees, and the iconic American alligator. The Delta is also bursting with unique plant life and beautiful marsh landscapes.

Your guide, Captain John Michael Chappelle, will also share fascinating local history as you explore — including stories from the Confederate era, the tragic history of the last known slave ship Clotilda, and the Native American tribes who once lived and thrived in the Delta.
